Dato’ Mohd Shahrom Mohd Rafik

Dato’ Mohd Shahrom Bin Mohd Rafik is the visionary leader behind the success of Chain Resources (M) Sdn. Bhd., bringing over two decades of hands-on experience in credit recovery, portfolio management, and operational leadership.

He began his professional journey in 2003 after graduating with a Degree in Business Administration, starting his career at MBF Card Services, where he developed a strong foundation in managing both dormant and active credit portfolios. His drive for excellence and natural leadership ability quickly propelled him into senior management roles across several established organizations, where he was recognized for streamlining operations and leading complex, high-volume portfolios with precision.

Dato’ Shahrom further strengthened his industry expertise during his tenure at Beukhen & Pokhrell, a respected credit recovery agency, where he served as Head of Recovery. His exceptional performance led to his appointment as Head of the Kota Kinabalu branch, followed by his promotion to Operations Manager. In this role, he was entrusted with establishing and leading a new collection center in the Philippines an assignment he executed successfully over two years, delivering outstanding operational and recovery results.

Upon returning to Malaysia, he was appointed Senior Manager at City Recovery Sdn. Bhd., cementing his reputation as a trusted and results-driven leader in the credit recovery industry. Drawing from his extensive experience and deep understanding of the sector, Dato’ Shahrom identified the need for a more ethical, responsive, and client-focused recovery agency.

In April 2000, he founded Chain Resources (M) Sdn. Bhd. with a clear vision: to deliver high-quality, performance-driven credit recovery services grounded in professionalism, integrity, and trust. What began as a modest operation has since grown into one of the industry’s most trusted names, serving both banking and corporate sectors with consistent results, strong governance, and operational stability.
